Okehampton Gym, Trampoline and DMT Club wowed audiences with a tumbling and trampolining display on 10th July.
The display was part of OCRA’s Sport and Fitness Festival, a week of fun sporting activities where anyone can come along and have a go.
The first display was held in Simmons Park, with our gymnasts performing a variety of basic skills, such as cartwheels, round offs, flics and handsprings, with more advanced moves including single and twisting somersaults and full tumbling passes.
After the display, members of the public queued up to have a go at jumps, forward rolls and cartwheels on the air track, with families and budding gymnasts as young as one year old having a bounce.
The have-a-go session was cut short by a sudden shower, and a second gymnastics display and improvised trampoline display were held inside, followed by another gym and trampoline session for the public.
The club will put on more displays in the near future.
