Okehampton Flyers gymnasts Connie James and Mason Parker-Groves have been selected for this year’s England Double Mini Trampoline (DMT) development squad.
This is Connie’s first year in the England development squad and Mason’s second year. Selections are made by English Gymnastics and British Gymnastics.
Connie won gold in DMT at the national English Championships last year (girls silver level) and came 28th in trampoline at the British Gymnastics FIG National Age Group competition. She also won the South West Challenge Cup Final in DMT, qualifying for the South West team and came 5th in the Inter-Regional Challenge Cup Final, another British Gymnastics national final.
Mason came 5th in DMT in his first international competition in Sweden last year. He also came 4th in the qualifying round for DMT at the British Championships, competing in his first British Championship final to finish 6th and coming 16th at the British Championships in trampoline. He qualified for the English Championships in DMT and trampoline (gold level), coming 6th and 15th respectively.
Well done also to Vicki Pritchard for developing two gymnasts to be selected for an England development squad.
