Children and families from Okehampton Flyers Gym, Trampoline & DMT Club have been keeping fit during lock-down by taking part in the club’s home gymnastics competition.
The competition was open to complete beginners as well as advanced gymnasts. Individuals and families were tasked with creating their own routines using skills from British Gymnastics beginner proficiency awards. Competitors then sent in videos of their performances to be judged by qualified volunteers.
Lockdown competition
The winners of the Flyers Family competition were the Banana Splits team, Eliza, Alice and Caroline Luke, who gave a quality performance with brilliant choreography. Individual winners were Ezekiel Evans and Mason Parker-Groves, who also performed excellent routines.
Prizes will be awarded when the club reopens.
